What Is Muslin?

Muslin is a closely-woven unbleached or white cloth, produced from corded cotton yarn.

Mural Uses

This is the stuff you need if you are considering painting a mural off-site.

Stretch it on your studio wall, prime it, and have at it! After painting your masterpiece, in order to adhere it to the wall all you need is a good vinyl-to-vinyl wallpaper paste.

Michael's Muslin Tips

• When estimating yardage for murals, allow at least 6" of extra fabric on all sides
• Trim the excess after installing on the wall
• I usually use the 120 width, because most walls are either 8 or 9 high.
